Can a city ever have too much coffee? The answer is definitely not.
There is no better place to get your finger on the pulse of a city than at it’s locally-owned coffee shops. These bad boys showcase the quintessence of a community and now thanks to Native Sons Coffee Roasters, Woodway is on the map.
Currently in the soft-opening stage, Native Sons is opening their first ever location right off of Hwy 84 and Texas Central Pkwy. And most importantly, yes they have a drive through.
This place is dapper. Dark colors, leather and velvet finishes with a sleek design, we can picture ourselves spending a lot of time here.
Right now the menu is being developed, but from what we’ve seen—we’re fans. But our favorite fact about the menu is that it’s Waco based. It features Waco-made tea and coffee beans that were roasted right behind the counter.
We ordered a drip coffee and Morracan Mint green tea, both equally delicious.
In addition to their dapper indoor seating selection, they offer two separate outdoor patios to enjoy your beverage while soaking in the good weather.
Even more exciting, Native Sons shares the indoor facility with Westside Pizza Co. There a little further away from opening day but you can go ahead and sample a delicious slice at their food truck behind Heritage Creamery.
Native Sons officially opens next week but swing by early for a sneak peak ahead of the crowd and check out the space for yourself. There’s plenty of seating so take the afternoon and work from their dope couches or just hang out with some friends.
