First Friday
First Friday is back again stocked full with awesome activities, discounts, and deals all around the downtown corridor. Grab some friends after work and go explore some of Waco’s newest restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Jump in a couple rounds of trivia night, enjoy some appetizers while walking around a boutique or two and finish the night up with some great music and discounts at local wineries and bartops.

Tax-Free Weekend
Not necessarily a Waco-only event, but Tax-Free Weekend is something everyone can get pumped about. Specialty items are tax-free over the weekend of Aug 10th to 12th so stock up on needed school supplies, clothes, and footwear to get primed and ready for the fall/winter season. You don’t have to be a student to enjoy new apparel and office supplies.

Brotherwell Brewing Tap Take Over
The boys at Brotherwell will be taking over the taps at Barnetts Public House on Aug 18th and 19th to celebrate the return of summer travelers and to party before the school year begins. Whether you’re a student or not, we can all enjoy a delicious beer or two and if you’ve never met the owner’s of Brotherwell we encourage you to swing by and introduce yourself—those guys are studs. There will be pint and stein specials all day and night for people to enjoy!

The Kickback

Margarita and Salsa Festival
Nothing signifies the end of summer quite like the Margarita and Salsa Festival. Baylor students will have found their way back to town and the rest of the community will be joining them for a night of fantastic music, delicious food, and plenty of country music. If you’ve never been to this event in year’s past, mark this down on your calendar as a must do.

Honest Kitchen Lunch Preview
The much anticipated Honest Kitchen is hosting a ticketed lunch preview event at Cultivate 7Twelve featuring their upcoming menu for launch. Get a first taste and some delicious beer to combo one of the most anticipated restaurants opening in 2018.

Thomas Csorba is back and the tickets are going to sell fast. One of Waco’s rising musicians is partnering up again with Balcones Distilling to put on another great show for those lucky enough to purchase a seat in time.
