Our monthly classic is back and better than ever. Start the month off right by spending the night downtown and enjoying the great weather. Swing by the Hippodrome for trivia night starting at 6 pm or make your way over to Balcones and check out their “April showers bring whisky sours” special.

Art on Elm

Take a trip across the suspension bridge and go celebrate the arts! There will be a ton of beautiful art, boutique pop-ups, and delicious treats to explore. And potentially best of all, Brotherwell Brewing is open for business so if you haven’t sampled their beer yet, you now have the perfect opportunity.

Trivia and Barbecue Hosted by Rydell

What better way to Harold in warmer weather than with trivia, barbecue and beer? Rydell Real Estate is hosting a trivia night and barbecue event at Uptown’s favorite coffee shop, Pinewood Roasters. Barbecue is provided by one of our favorite newcomer’s, Helberg Barbecue, and the event is BYOB. Additionally, the first 25 people get free barbecue. Our team may have had a few samples a week or so ago of the food and dang… you need to try this stuff out. We will see you there.

Lazy River Opening Day at BSR

Arguably a bigger deal than Opening Day for the MLB, BSR is the perfect destination for a springtime Saturday. If you’ve never been out there, you need to make this a priority. If you’re a bit of an adrenaline junky, we recommend taking a spin on the Royal Flush as well.

WHR Farm Day 2018

World Hunger Relief is definitely one of the great hidden gems in our city. This is an awesome way to spend the day enjoying locally sourced produce, goods, and more. Additionally, there are plenty of adorable animals for the kiddos (or yourself) and plenty of great music and activities to make the trip out there worth it.

Located right in downtown and back for its third year, the Rootstock festival is a perfect event for anyone interested in learning more about wine or simply just enjoying the taste. The event will feature 16 Texas-based wineries as well as plenty of great music, food, and games to fill your day.

Baylor is bumping this month and it keeps on going with the ever so famous “Day of the Bear”. Students will be everywhere enjoying the great weather and even better times, but for us locals, there tend to be some great concerts around town and on campus that coincide with the event if you’re interested in making your way to campus.

Keep the block parties coming with I Love Waco Day! Hosted by Campustown and Baylor Student Government, this event will be a block party over by downtown’s newest co-working space WacoWorks. You’ll additionally get a first look at the new co-working space and everything else developing over on the Columbus block so this is a definite must do.
